چکیده

Objective: Preparation and characterization studies on tetrahydrocurcumin complexed with zinc, particular reference to the location of zinc in complex. Methods: Structural characteristics its complex were compared using elemental analysis, mass spectrometry (MS), proton, carbon-13 nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR), ultraviolet-visible (UV) absorption spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. Results: MS data indicates a Zn molecule holds two THCur components together. NMR provide evidence that ion is associated 1,3-diketone part linker region THCur. FTIR consistent interaction enol tautomer at center UV indicate zinc-dependent shift absorbance maximum changes structure resulting from complexation zinc. Together, this linking molecules together by binding forms moieties located regions between aromatic rings. Conclusion: The spectral properties tetrahydrocurcumin-zinc are which encased moieties. Additional needed determine if results altered bioavailability, antioxidant activity other important for pharmaceutical development.

Sonochemical synthesis and characterization of nano-sized zinc(II) coordination complex as a precursor for the preparation of pure-phase zinc(II) oxide nanoparticles

In current study, nanoparticles and single crystals of a Zn(II) coordination complex, [Zn(dmph)I2](1), {dmph=2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline(neocuproine)}, have been synthesized by the reaction of zinc(II) acetate, KI and neocuproine as ligand in methanol using sonochemical and heat gradient methods, respectively. The nanostructure of 1 was characte...

Synthesis, characterization and DNA binding studies of a zinc complex with 2,6-bis(benzimidazol-2-yl) pyridine.

A zinc(II) complex having planar tridentate ligand, bzimpy, where bzimpy is 2,6-bis(benzimidazol-2-yl) pyridine was synthesized and characterized by UV, NMR, infrared spectroscopy and fluorescence spectra. The zinc complex acts as dibasic acids, in which N-H protons on benzimidazole moieties are responsible for a deprotonation site. Both the absorption spectra and reduction potentials are stron...

Bioremediation of zinc using Desulfotomaculum nigrificans: bioprecipitation and characterization studies.

Desulfotomaculum nigrificans, a typical sulfate reducing bacterium (SRB) was successfully grown in the presence of 12-210 mg/L of zinc. Complete bioremoval of zinc was achieved in 2 days for 12 mg/L while the bioremoval efficiency was about 70% in 40 days in the presence of 210 mg/L initial concentration of zinc, attesting to the inhibition of bacterial cell growth at higher zinc concentrations...
